Registers and Vents

I got the heat registers and cold air return vents installed this weekend. Like everything else they were covered in multiple layers of paint. My buddy Brian brought these to his shop and sandblastered them and repainted them. They look brand new, turned out great.







Brian helped me pull the french doors for the sun room. They've been collected dust for 50 years in the garage attic. Besides the dirt and peeling paint they are in great shape, all the hardware is in place and no broken panes of glass.

Sun room - wallpaper

Our main floor walls are finally finished! This weekend my parents came to help us wallpaper the sun room. This room has been sitting in limbo for a year and half. We removed the wallpaper the first weekend we bought the house and since then we patched the plaster and a couple months ago we sized the walls.

First corner. The walls aren't plumb, level, or square, which makes wallpapering a lot of fun.

The last corner, these two corners took forever trying to get them to fit and match up. Luckily my parents know all the tricks.

Next on the list is the french doors and the radiators.

Curtains

We reupholstered the dining rooms chairs, they turned out really good.

Dining Room Wallpaper

With a ton of help from Karina's dad we finally got the dining room wallpapered. We originally thought this would have been done in the spring of 2009, then we thought last fall we would get it hung, but like everything else there were a lot of steps that had to be completed beforehand.

Here's the dining room as it was when we bought the house. Since this point we pulled the old wallpaper down, pulled up the carpet and backing stuck to the floor, patched the walls, fixed the ceiling after the bathroom pipes were replaced, painted the ceiling, stipped three layers of paint from the all the trim, sanded the trim, stained the trim, and then hired out to have floors refinished.



Here's how the room looked after the wallpaper was removed. We looked at these walls for more than a year, it was very exciting to finally get these ghetto looking walls papered.

Ultrasound II

Here's pictures from the latest ultrasound. The doctor said everything is looking good, the baby won't cooperate and show his/her face so they still havn't got a good face picture. Karina still thinks its a boy.
