The shower pan was waterproofed today and shampoo/soap niche was installed. Tomorrow the showerpan will get the final mud coat and the rest of the floor will be tiled. Hex floor tile and the 3x6 subway tile for the shower walls.
Floor heat was installed last week. Tiler started today. Drain was installed, shower floor was mudded and sloped, and the main floor was leveled. Tomorrow the shower floor will be waterproofed and the floor tile will be set sometime after that.
Sheetrockers finished up taping and mudding on Friday. Got the walls primed and painted and ready for the electrican to come back to install the floor heat. If we are lucky the tile might start to get installed at the end of the week.
The insulators spray-foamed the bathroom this morning. It's been about five weeks since I demo'd the room and removed all the insulation, it was nice today to come home and not feel drafts.
Here's a couple of the before:
Insulated walls and ceiling:
Here's some before pictures of the cellar ceiling before insulation:
Electrician finished the rough-in for outlets, sconces, exhaust fan, and overhead light. The plumber has the drain and vent all finished and the water lines are roughed-in. Still waiting for a pressure balancer for the shower, once that is in the plumber will connect the water lines.
Framing for the medicine cabinet and sconces roughed-in next to it.
Vent stack, overhead light, and exhaust fan.
Future throne
This is the spaghetti mess that has become our cellar.
Next step is to have the framing inspected and then hopefully Friday the room will be insulated. Then a insulation inspection and we can start sheetrock.
