Upstairs Bathroom - Completed

Upstairs bathroom is finally done. Got the restored window installed last week, curtains hung, and paint touch ups finished. 

Bathroom - Upper Cabinets

Upper cabinets got installed today. I need to fill mails holes and touchup the trim and get the faucet and lights installed and it will be finished. 

Bathroom - Countertop

Tile is finished and countertop is in place. 

Bathroom Window - Putty

Thought I'd try to document the steps and time for each individual step of restoring windows. 10 days until baby's due date, zero chance I'll meet that deadline. 

Removing putty - key is letting the windows steam for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Old putty should just slide out right out once its nice and soft, out back in if it's chalky. 

If your putting in a lot of elbow grease your liable to scratch the glass too. 

Total time = 1 hour of work time

Steam really lifts the paint, I prefer to not scrape it since the steam makes the wood susceptible to tearing

Bathroom - Grout & Toilet

After two and half months we finally have an upstairs toilet

Bathroom - Wall Tile

Subway tile is up and vanity is set. Once the countertop is in then the chair rail can be installed, walls grouted, and uppers installed. 

Penny round tile

Progress!  Dura rock was installed on floor and tub surround. Today the penny round tile was installed along with the door and window casings.  Monday floor tile should be grouted and wall tile started. 

Bathroom - Sheetrock

Sheetrock is up and done. Walls and ceiling are painted. Dura rock on floors and shower area along with tiling next week.

Sloanes room - primer

Sheet rocks up waiting for tapers so we can paint.

Closed cell spray foam in and Sheetrock ready for hanging tomorrow. 

Bathroom - vanity

Got the vanity and upper cabinet, will be awhile until they are set, still have sheet rock and tile left. Vanity is similar to the downstairs bathroom,  but when went all drawers since pullouts are a pain with inset shaker-style doors. Did uppers with this one to provide me storage than a medicine cabinet. Pretty excited to see how these will look. 

Sloanes new room

Parents came today to remove wallpaper from sloanes new room. Push is on to get her into the room and settled in before baby comes in oct. 

Now I just have to putty some cracks and prime and paint. Wish I has time to pull and restore windows.
